BEFORE THE AGENDA, READ THE ROOM
The Third Field is the experience of being together that takes shape through repeated interactions: how you connect, share everyday life, respond to differences, and make room for what matters to each of you. It helps you notice what is already nourishing trust and recognition, how care is carried, and whether each person has room for their own voice.
Both people can shape this shared life, though responsibility and impact are not always equal. We bring the practice to wine country through the conversations, preparation and time together that help you see what to protect, change or make possible.

Some friendships become family without ever being given the architecture family receives. Make time for the friendship itself—for what you have carried together and who you are becoming.

MORE THAN THE PLACES YOU VISIT
A few good questions. A clearer view of what matters. A practice you can return to after the day is over.
A couples Map offers a supported interpretation rather than a summary, followed by private review and shared release only after both people approve the exact final version. You can use the report-only Map at home; a privately driven wine-country day is optional. A Director-led Council has its own preparation and live facilitation.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Terroir Trails offers private wine-country experiences and relational Maps for couples, pairs, friends and leadership teams. Personal and Leadership Councils are prepared and led by a Director. The Couples Map is a supported, human-reviewed five-movement reading for use at home; a privately driven wine-country day is optional. Other group formats are separately scoped. Every path draws on The Third Field’s relational practice.
A traditional wine tour focuses on the itinerary. Terroir Trails also helps you make useful time for the people with you. Choose a Director-led conversation or a self-guided relational Map. The optional self-guided wine-country package includes winery scheduling and a six-hour private vehicle with driver; self-guided describes the conversation, not the driving.
For couples, the Relational Map is more than a summary: a supported reading of the season and the conditions that shape connection, organized in five movements and reviewed by a human Director. A shared Map is offered only when the route is appropriate and permitted. It may offer one principal proposal and something to protect or enjoy; choosing no new practice is valid. Each person reviews their own Folio and contribution before combined review; both must approve the exact final Map before it is released to both at once. A Director-led Council has its own scope and written materials, confirmed in your proposal.
The Map alone is $195 for two people, plus $45 per additional participant. The Map plus wine-country day is $1,395 for two, $1,485 for four, $1,575 for six or $1,665 for eight, including the Map, winery scheduling and a six-hour private vehicle with driver. Tasting fees are paid separately. These packages have no Director-led session and are subject to confirmed availability. Inquire for three, five or larger parties and for final terms.
We arrange experiences in Sonoma County, Napa Valley and Healdsburg, depending on the group, scope and availability. Your proposal confirms the actual setting, pickup, travel and appointments. Images on the site illustrate the experience; they do not promise access to a particular venue. The report-only Map does not require a wine-country visit.
No. Neither is a psychological assessment, personality type, compatibility score or diagnosis. Field Discovery includes reflections and a conversation with the Director to clarify a suitable next step. A couples Map uses only eligible permitted material. Destination choices do not authorize AI. If AI assistance is offered, the Director explains the tools and data handling first and asks for separate explicit permission; a human-only route is available. A human Director remains responsible for review before release.
The target is five business days after all participants submit eligible reflections and confirm sharing permissions, subject to a confirmed preparation slot. We agree the delivery date in writing before purchase. Missing contributions, changed participants or changed permissions may affect scope or timing; we confirm changes before proceeding.
Yes. Each person decides whether to participate and what each answer may inform. In the Couples Map, S means shared consideration, F means that person’s Folio only, and D means Director only; no choice defaults to D. F and D answers never shape the shared Map, and two-person contributions are not anonymous. Both people approve their own Folio and contribution before combined review, then approve the exact final Map before simultaneous release. Withdrawing permission can remove portal access to a dependent Map, but cannot recall copies someone has already saved.
Use it as a starting point for conversation, not a verdict. Check what fits, what needs correction, and what the reading helps you understand, appreciate or decide. After review, the couple may choose a practice and a three-line Our Field’s Climate card from mutually approved shared wording, or choose no new practice. Any practice becomes an agreement only when both people choose it. A return happens on a date or event they choose and requires fresh permissions; a paid Return Map is not required.
Start with an inquiry: your group, preferred timing and what you hope the time together will support. You do not need to choose a format first. We confirm the appropriate service, availability, scope, price and terms before purchase. An inquiry is not a booking or payment. If the right next step is unclear, ask about Field Discovery.
